In the summer of 2011, sisters and co-workers, Connie Briggs and Christine Rayburg, purchased Naturally Yours, a specialty and custom gift basket business from their retiring employer. The Gannon SBDC assisted with their business plan and financial projections. After receiving a microloan from the Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority and the Economic Development Corporation of Erie County, the highly creative sisters changed the business name to Naturally Yours Designs, moved to a newly renovated building in a highly visible retail location and enhanced their offerings. They still provide beautiful custom made specialty gift baskets, but they now offer floral arrangements, gifts and specialty items for retail purchase in addition to their very popular online and corporate sales.

In celebration of the spring equinox and their newly completed retail location in Fairview, PA, Connie and her sister Christine hosted a Girard Lake City Chamber of Commerce “After Hours” grand opening event on March 21, 2013. To emphasize the importance of collaboration while also highlighting the business’ social responsibility, there was a “Shop Local” merchant raffle basket with items donated by members of the Girard Lake City Chamber of Commerce. The proceeds from the raffle basket fundraiser were donated to the Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation, a local nonprofit dedicated to researching the Kanzius noninvasive radiowave cancer treatment.
