Gannon University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) celebrates National Small Business Week May 5-1 by hosting a Google livestream and two seminars.

Gannon SBDC, along with the Gannon Innovation Beehive will host The Fundamentals of Advertising with Google Ads, Wednesday, May 8, 12-1 p.m. in the lobby of the Center for Business Innovation, 900 State St., Erie. The livestream will explore popular Google ad campaign types and how each can help businesses connect with local customers online, promote special offers and grow brand awareness. The event is free and attendees can register here.

On Thursday, May 9, Gannon SBDC will offer two free events at the Center for Business Innovation. At 9 a.m., the monthly series of First Step seminars will be held in Rm. 104.  First Step is designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs to begin the process of successful business ownership including evaluating business ideas, developing a business plan, and exploring financing options. The customary $30 fee for this seminar has been waived in celebration of National Small Business Week.

Also at 9 a.m. at Rm. 010, Gannon SBDC will present a seminar entitled HR Basics for the New Business (and the not so new). This seminar will outline a proactive approach to human resources issues and help to develop a simple foundation for employee relations, and help new businesses to acquire solid contributors that will grow with the organization and help it to succeed.

Registration is required for both events and is available here.
