Emmy Award-Winning TV Host and Filmmaker Darieth Chisolm Headlines 11th Annual WILD Conference

Darieth Chisolm, an Emmy Award-winning TV host, former NBC News anchor, coach, speaker, author, visibility and media strategist will be the keynote speaker for the 11th annual Women In Leadership Development (WILD) Conference Wednesday, April 18 hosted by the Gannon University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the Ambassador Banquet and Conference Center.

Chisholm, who was a television news anchor at WPXI in Pittsburgh for 25 years, is the founder of 50 Shades of Silence, a movement to give voice and dignity to victims of cyber harassment and online crimes.  Chisolm was herself the victim of cyber harassment.  A documentary in production, also called “50 Shades of Silence,” recounts her harrowing experience and ultimate empowerment.

Empowerment has been a key message of the WILD Conference offering inspiration, motivation, networking and professional development opportunities.

Entering its second decade, WILD is expanding its series of offerings from an intensive, one-day event to four events.  The April 18 event will be followed by forums concentrating on sales and marketing (May 16), personal and business finance (September 18) and doing business internationally (November 12).

A luncheon will follow Chisolm’s 11 a.m. keynote address and regional professionals will discuss workplace harassment issues at a panel discussion at 1 p.m.

Registration for all four WILD Conference events is open at wild.sbdcgannon.org.
